DAT (Diploma in Anesthesia Technology)

Diploma in Anesthesia Technology (DAT) is a 2-year paramedical program designed to train students in assisting anesthesiologists during surgeries, operations, and other medical procedures.

  • The course covers the study of anesthesia equipment, techniques, patient monitoring, and emergency management during and after anesthesia administration.

Educational Qualification

  • Must have passed 10+2 (Higher Secondary) or equivalent examination from a recognized board.
  • Mandatory Subjects: Physics, Chemistry, and Biology (some institutes also accept candidates with Mathematics instead of Biology, but preference is given to PCB stream).
  • Minimum Marks: Usually 45%–50% aggregate in PCB subjects (relaxation of 5% for SC/ST/OBC candidates in many institutions).
