Bachelor of Vocation in Cardiac Care Technology (CCT)

Cardiac Care Technology is a paramedical discipline that trains students to assist cardiologists in diagnosing and treating heart diseases.

Cardiac technologists work with advanced equipment such as ECG, echocardiography, cardiac monitors, and cardiac catheterization machines, helping in heart surgeries, intensive cardiac care, and emergency procedures.

  • They play a critical role in saving lives by supporting doctors during heart-related treatments and surgeries.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Recording and analyzing ECG, ECHO, and other cardiac tests
  • Assisting cardiologists during angiography, angioplasty, and open-heart surgery
  • Monitoring patients in ICCU, CCU, and operation theatres
  • Preparing and maintaining cardiac equipment
  • Managing emergency cardiac situations
  • Maintaining patient records and reports
