CCRT (CERTIFICATE COURSE IN RADIOLOGY TECHNICIAN)

Course Overview CCRT certificate course in radiology technician (1-Year Certificate after 10th)

  • X-Ray basics: Positioning patients, operating basic X-ray machines, processing films/digital images.
  • CT Scan basics: Assisting in CT scanning procedures under supervision.
  • ECG basics: Connecting electrodes, recording ECG, monitoring heart activity.
  • Patient safety, radiation safety & equipment care.
  • Record keeping & sample management.
  • This is more of a “supportive technician” course than a full-fledged radiology technologist program.

  • Higher Studies / Upskilling
    Complete your 12th (Science) via Open School / NIOS.
  • Enroll in 2-year Diploma / Degree courses like:
  • Diploma in Radiography / Radiotherapy
  • B.Sc in Radiology & Imaging Technology
  • B.Sc in Medical Lab or ECG Technology
  • These give better salary (₹25,000–₹50,000+) and government job eligibility.

Government Sector Jobs

Most government hospitals require 12th + recognized diploma for Radiology Technician posts. Once qualified, you can earn ₹30,000–₹60,000 per month with benefits.

Private Diagnostic Centres
  • With experience, you can move up to Senior Technician / Supervisor roles. Or open your own X-ray / ECG centre in partnership with a doctor.
Abroad Opportunities
  • With advanced diploma/degree + English proficiency, you can work as Radiology or ECG Technician abroad (especially Gulf countries).

Career Scope After 1-Year Course (10th Pass)

You can work as:

  • X-Ray / ECG Assistant or Technician (under supervision)
  • CT Scan Assistant in private diagnostic centres
  • Radiology Department Helper in small hospitals or clinics.
  • Portable X-ray / ECG operator in nursing homes / rural camps
  • Starting Salary: ₹8,000 – ₹15,000 per month in private centres (varies by city and skills).
